Clam Island Rowing is up and rowing!

999701_420264011425903_1372833510_nWe would like to invite you to our Introduction to Rowing in Dyes Inlet Event on August 24th from 9 to 11 at the Boat Storage in Old Town Silverdale across from the Port of Silverdale offices, 3550 NW Byron Street. If you are interested in rowing this is an opportunity for you to get your feet wet.

Come meet Coach Lind and our current crew of Clam Island Rowers. We will be explaining our rowing program, giving rowing demonstrations with our dock box and registering interested rowers.

Clam Island Rowing is a Kitsap County Parks and Recreation program. Our program is for beginners and experienced rowers. Join us to learn to row or to become a competitive rower.

Our current crew rows every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm and Saturdays at 7am. Stop by and see us. For those of you that don’t know, our name comes from a little island in Dyes Inlet which is only visible on very low tides.

We’re always looking for new rowers. We’re having an Open House on April 19th. Hope to see you there!
Btw, we also offer kayak boat parking in Old Town,if you need to stash your kayak close to the water.

What hours do you practice? My father, Harold Seaberg, took a Swedish class at the UW with John Lind back in the day and would like to say, “Hello.” Sorry that this isn’t about rowing.
I am actively rowing with Kitsap Rowing Association and love it, so glad that your club is up and rowing successfully!
I would like to bring my father to Silverdale to watch a practice and re connect with John Lind. Again, please let me know when your club practices.
    Thank you,
    Marti Morgan

      Hi Marti,
I passed this comment to John Lind. I am sure he will be contacting you soon. Glad to hear you are having a good time with KRA.
