On Tuesday, May 2, 2017, Clam Island Rowing through our parent non-profit the Kitsap Sailing and Rowing Foundation is participating in the Kitsap Great Give.
The Kitsap County Great Give is a 24-hour online giving event organized by the Kitsap Community Foundation and the United Way of Kitsap County, for the benefit of the greater Kitsap area. Donating on May 2, allows your dollars to go further through a sponsor-created bonus pool which boosts every dollar you give.
To donate to Clam Island Rowing, locate the Kitsap Sailing and Rowing Foundation through the Kitsap Great Give website.
- Scholarships for high school students who want to row but cannot afford to do so. Your dollars help get them on the water!
- Much needed modern rowing equipment. Racing is the goal in growing our high school rowing program and earlier this Spring our high school rowers reached a milestone and competed in their first regatta. Competition offers rowers the opportunity to fulfill their fitness goals, develop team building skills, and build new friendships. To continue racing competitively, we need modern rowing equipment: boats, oars, and a trailer to haul the boats to competitions. With your support, you both help our rowers reach their goals, and contribute to the overall success of the program.
- Rowing opportunities for all. Clam Island Rowing provides an inclusive environment with programs for all ages, including Learn to Row, Adult Novice, Masters level crews, and a high school student crew. And it works—every week we draw enthusiastic rowers and their families from across Kitsap and Mason Counties.
Your funds will go a long way in helping provide rowing opportunities for adults and teens. We hope you consider supporting us.
